Nice to meet you!
Hello! I'm Charlotte, a CELTA-qualified British English tutor with over fourteen years' teaching experience. I support adults at all levels of English, with a focus on boosting your fluency and confidence! I also offer tutoring to students preparing for their GCSE English exams. With an MA in Creative Writing from the Royal Holloway, I am passionate about storytelling and helping students engage with literary texts.

In our first lesson, I'll listen to what you would like to achieve and together, we'll work towards your learning goals. My student-centred approach means that I'll design lessons with your interests, strengths, and challenges in mind. My aim is to make the learning experience fun while helping you progress.
Whether you're learning the language and wish to work with a native teacher to develop your speaking skills, or you're a GCSE student who would benefit from some extra support, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if my tuition is a good fit for you.

Your English Experience
I have taught language learners from Elementary to Proficiency, as well as candidates preparing for their IELTS and Cambridge exams. I understand that every learner is different, and I am committed to helping my students improve and feel confident about their English.
My background in English Literature and Creative Writing allows me to support GCSE students ahead of their exams. In our lessons, we'll analyse major themes, character and language across your set texts, and practise essay and creative writing. I love words and hope to inspire others to love them, too!

I am based in Greater London but offer lessons both online and in person.
Timings are flexible!
To start with, we can arrange a free 15-minute consultation online. If you would like to go ahead and work together, lessons are £45 per hour in person or £40 online.
